Ukrainian radicals go berserk and nearly kill Oleg Tsarev

Ukrainian presidential candidate, Oleg Tsarev, was brutally assaulted in Kiev by a mob of neo-Nazis. The incident took place at night, on 15th April (you can see the footage of events). While he was being interviewed on the ICTV show «Freedom of speech», a crowd of extremist supporters of «Maidan» surrounded the building. They have smashed the politician’s car, slashed the tyres, rampaged and taken away his belongings.
Hundreds of raging extremists, many of them armed, waited for the deputy to lynch him. At about 3 pm they attacked the building demanding for Oleg Tsarev to be given to them. In order to avert the danger from the people in the building, Tsarev and few of his security tried to leave and were immediately attacked by the lawless gang.

The police and journalists did not interfere and simply watched the «fun», commenting and cracking jokes. Someone managed to put Tsarev into an ambulance, but the attackers punctured the tyres of the car. They were shouting out threats, deciding whether the injured man should be taken to the Maidan for the «trial» to be finished, or be put into jail.

About 4 am Oleg Tsarev was taken to The General Prosecotor’s office. His assaulters followed close, bursting into the building in order to lodge a complain against their victim, accusing him of separatism.

The cynicism of the situation escalated when Oleg Tsarev was interviewed by the media serving the Kiev clique. Questions like «when have you become a Russian secret agent», comments that «Tsarev got two ways out — to jail or to grave» show the face of present Kiev democracy.

The core idea which politician expressed several times during this interview — " in order to save Ukraine, people need to learn to listen and to respect each other’s opinion». He dismissed the rumors, saying that he will continue to run for presidency, and criminal attacks cannot change his determination.
