Fighting at Saur Mogila eliminated one Ukrainian tank, a sniper and enemy ambush spot

The legendary strategic high point, Mt Saur Mogila after two weeks of bloody fighting, with huge losses by Kiev forces still remains in the hands of the Resistance militia.

The high altitude point presides over the Russian border stretch from the Taganrog city and two roads leading to Lugansk and Donetsk. It is not for nothing that elite German troops were desperately fighting to take over it during World War II.

Strelkov’s warriors had to leave Slavyansk and Kramatorsk but the Ukrainian butchers now don’t have another Mt Karachun, a killing point from where they could bravely shoot civilians from behind the bushes. Now they will be forced to regroup, risking their сcommunication lines.

Saur defenders report that today was not wasted:

«Our tank disguised in an aircraft shelter finished off the Ukrainian tank T-64. Our guys from East battalion swatted a sniper woman, Azov battalion lost 70% of their personnel and buggered off to re-organize.»

«On 3rd July we smashed a bunch of recon clowns. Our guys fired at their ambush spot and just wiped them off.»

The huge losses of Azov battalion were due to the aimed artillery fire from howitzers D-30. It is a perfect example of how significant Saur Mogila is for controlling the military situation. Russian Spring will keep posting reports from this hot spot, which can be rightly called Donbass Gates.
