Igor Strelkov calls for evacuation of the civilians

On May 23 commander of the Army of the Republic of Donetsk Igor Strelkov urged people to evacuate.

In order to preserve the lives and property of civilians, Igor Strelkov announced a ban, by order, on conducting artillery fire within the city. The same was brought to notice of the Ukrainian army command.

However, in case of an attack on the city, People’s army commanders reserve the right to use weapons in exigency of war. According to the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Slavyansk Anatoly Khmelevoy, the combat active preparation is going on in the Ukrainian army units, which may be an indication of a forthcoming offensive.

According to reports of People’s army in Slavyansk, the Ukrainian army continue to prepare for the city assault using heavy artillery and aviation.
