Workers of Russian Embassy in Ukraine detained on a forged allegations

Some time ago the Russian embassy staff were detained in Kiev on the eve under a false pretext, said the Russian Foreign Ministry. Moscow calls for their immediate release.

«In Kiev we saw another outrageous act against the security personnel of the Embassy of the Russian Federation, including the personal security guard of the Ambassador. Despite showing their diplomatic passports, they were detained when they were leaving a cafe, under an absurd pretext: ostensibly, they were carrying grenades with them. We insist on the immediate release of the embassy staff and avoiding any further violations of international conventions on diplomatic immunity, «- the statement on the Foreign Ministry website says.
