Reports from the LNR front : a fighter jet, tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, mortar battery and about 100 enemy soldiers had been destroyed

Reports from the front line in LNR for the first half of the day, July 14, 2014.

Heavy fighting continued all night in Lugansk. A large group of Ukrainian troops of about 100 military vehicles tried to break through to the airport of Lugansk. Army units gave a battle to the enemy near one of the villages and in the direct vicinity of the airport. Only insignificant remnants of the aggressors fighting vehicles managed to make it to the airport.

According to preliminary reports, LNR army managed to destroy at least 5 tanks,2 BMPs, 2 APCs, mortar battery, few «Ural» trucks and about a hundred of soldiers. Lugansk forces retained the airport blockade.

In the first half of the day the capital of LNR was fired presumably from heavy 240-mm mortar «Tulip», from the airport side. Shells landed in residential areas of the city, there are victims, one house has been completely destroyed.

Seventeen LNR soldiers still remain trapped in the territory of the radar station, the road leading to it is mined.

There was a heavy air attack on LNR army units but none of the fighters was injured, in response the jet was shot down, the pilot catapulted and was later seen in one of the villages, Beloskelivatoe.

Morning was marked by aggressor artillery and mortar shelling at Izvarino. Later a transport plane of Ukrainian Air Force was spotted over municipality and shot down by LNR army.
