DPR authorities refuse to confirm the fact of death of Andrei Stenin and Icorpus correspondents till receiving results of genetic expertise
Deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Donetsk People's Republic Nikolai Krushenko stated that the evidence that three bodies found in a burned-out car on the road between Snejnoe and Dmitrovka haven't been identified yet. So three journalists, including war photoreporter from Russia Today agency Andrei Stenin, are still officially considered to be missing.
"There was discovered a car "Renault Logan" with the bodies of three people. The bodies are taken by criminologists. There will be assigned a genetic examination," said Mr. Krushenko.
On Friday, the Organization for security and cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in its report declared the discovery of the remains of the missing Russian journalist near the town of Snejnoe, noting that confirmation and evidence aren't official. Actually, the burnt car and the bodies were found two days before by several Russian journalists who knew Stenin very well. As the DPR authorities as they wished to wait for the results of criminologist examination but OSCE representatives, who had been informed about this discovery, appeared to be fast to make it public
August 5, 2014, Novorossian Icorpus agency correspondents Sergey Korenchenko and Andrew Vyachalo were lost together with Andrey Stenin, a photographer from the IIA "Russia Today".
Last time they had come on wire was on August, 5, from the town Snejnoe, and after that communication with them was lost.
August, 12, Anton Geraschenko, who is an Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs official, said in an interview to the Latvian radio Baltkom that Andrei Stenin was arrested by the Ukrainian security services and was suspected of "aiding terrorists." Subsequently, however, Gerashchenko was to deny that he knows about the arrest of the photographer though Latvian journalists published the audio tape of their conversation.
