Ukrainian troops shoot civilians at Gorlovka checkpoint (VIDEO)
In the morning of December 14th, Ukrainian soldiers opened fire at a group of civilians people at Mayorsk checkpoint near Gorlovka.
This has been reported to “Russian Spring” by acting as mayor of Gorlovka Ivan Prikhodko.
One civilian was shot dead and two were injured. Another passenger died at the scene from a heart attack.
“This morning, at the Mayorskoe checkpoint, Ukrainian troops opened fire on a bus with civilians coming from the territory of the DPR,” a source in the agency said. According to the source, as a result of Kalashnikov rifle fire, one passenger was killed and another was wounded. The incident took place on territory controlled by the Ukrainian military.
“The fire came from a Kalashnikov rifle,” the source stated.
Prokhodko told that there was a row between the civilians and the servicemen
«All the people in the queue were outraged by the long hours of waiting in freezing cold and the Ukrainian soldier had nothing better than to soot in the air to make people quiet.
This resulted in headshot for one person (he died on the spot) and arm wound for another man», — told us a.a. mayor of Gorlovka.
«Besides as a result of the fire one woman had a heart attack and was dead on arrival to the local hospital», — he added.
Prikhodko also added that the Ukrainian side was trying to claim that fire was opened from DPR positions.
«It’s hard even to make up greater insane. The nearest DPR checkpoint is one kilometer away from the scene — everyone who was there they kew it. There is no even direct vision between the Ukainian and DP checkpoints. Even if one wanted to open fire from DPR checkpoint he wouldn’t be able to do so», — he underlined.
