One of the most acute problems in Syria is still the situation in the “Ar-Rukban” refugee camp, which is in an extremely difficult humanitarian situation.

A local source told on his Facebook page about the terrible complication of the situation in the south of Homs province.

The total number of temporarily displaced persons in the camp is about 30 thousand people. In the same area around At-Tanf, there are still about 10,000 militants from the US-controlled group “Jayish Magawir At-Taura”, along with family members.

The lack of certified medical facilities and qualified personnel in the camp has led to a catastrophic health situation. Free medical care is provided only at a UN clinic in Jordan, which is extremely difficult to get into, since the US-controlled militants created the conditions for charging exorbitant fees with the obligatory condition of returning back.

Living conditions in “Ar-Rukban” do not meet the most basic sanitary standards. People huddle in shabby shacks without water and electricity. Cleaning and garbage collection is not carried out. Because of this, the risk of infection with infectious diseases increases every day.

There is an acute problem of providing the population with drinking water. And it basically comes from the territory of Jordan. There are only two water points. At the same time, the quality of drinking water is extremely unsatisfactory, it requires additional cleaning and boiling. And recently, due to the onset of heat, the camp administration has sharply reduced the rate of consumption of drinking water.

Due to the lack of money among the refugees in the territory of Er-Rukbana, “food slavery” is developed. The assistance provided by international organizations almost completely falls into the hands of militants who dispose of it as they see fit.

According to the official data of the UN representatives, about 95 percent of the camp population want to leave “Ar-Rukban” and would like to do this with the help of the international community and under the control of the UN, as they are hostages of armed groups. Meanwhile, the fee for leaving the single-family camp, which the militants have established, is up to one and a half thousand US dollars.

The entire responsibility for the created humanitarian crisis and lawlessness in “Ar-Rukban” lies with the United States, which occupied the area and used the humanitarian problems of refugees to justify its military presence in southern Syria.

Only elimination of 55-kilometer American zone around At-Tanf will lead to camp cliquidation and solution of a humanitarian catastrophe.
