Military police of Russian Armed Forces delivered humanitarian aid in Sakba settlement in East Ghouta region, which has been the main stronghold of the Islamists near Damascus for many years. Now civilians and reconciled militants live here, they gladly met the Russian military.

The army team deistributed 500 food packages with a total weight of about 2.5 tons to the most needy population. These sets included rice, canned food, and sugar.

The head of the settlement administration, Khalid Kuatli, expressed his gratitude to the representatives of the military police of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

This is not the first humanitarian action carried out by the Russian military police in East Ghouta. During this year, the military police, together with the Center for Reconciliation of the warring parties, repeatedly delivered humanitarian aid to residents of the areas most affected by war.
