Western media keep trying to to stir up the situation in Syrian Arab Republic blaiming Assad’s troops for crimes against civilians.

In the beginning of May 2016 a new swirl in hysteria rose in the Western media after on 5 May 2016 in Syrian Idlib province near Sarmada (not far from Turkish border) Kamuna refugee camp had been shelled.

In just a few hours ater the tragedy all the leading world media reported the incident with a reference to the so called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights — a human rights organization based in Great Britain and traditionally blaming governmental troops for all the shellings and clashes in Syria.

Refugee camp attack was no exception.

Despite the fact that in the first few hours after the tragedy there were (and there could not be) no compelling evidences of who could attack Sarmada numerous “human rights activists” and journalists tried to shit the blame upon Syrian Arab Army.

Despite official Damascus denied governmental armed forces participation in any form of attack onto Idlib province the Wetern journalists started to hype and boost this version in their editions.

BBC journalists in particular were not ashamed to claim that “under some information the camp was attacked by either Syrian or Russian AF” in the article titled “Syria conflict: Air strike on refugee camps kills 28” and published May 5.

Of course they give no evidence at all, moreover they tell that “there is no confirmation to this yet” but the task of such unbased accisations is done: readers get distorted worldview, they get a feeling that “these are Assad or Putin to blame” though they have no evidence at all.

And even if there comes a noninvolvement evidence some time later an average reader has already goten an image of “hostile militarists regime killing civilians”.

Washington has also participated: White House press-secretary Josh Earnest told there was too early to draw any conclusions but mentioned “Assad’s regime” in his speech — to anchor the idea “Assad is an appressor and killer”:

«There was neither US AF nor other coalition members in this region. Atthe moment I woudn’t gess who attacked but we have seen readiness of Assad’s regime to use any AF at his command to attack innocent civilians», — told Earnest on May 5.

But there came new evidences and detals and the picture of May 5 attack gets more clear — there is no room left for speculations over Damascus’ or Moscow’s fault. Let's get a closer look to these evodences.

What photos and videos say about

Within a few hours after refugee camp attack numerous social media accounts associated with the so called Syrian opposition started to post photos and videos made in the affected area.

The photos depit burning tenets, injured people and woking firefighters. Footage shows anxious men crying “Allahu akbar” and “Taya Harbii” (Taya means plane, harbii means army’s or military) meaning that the devastations showed here are the result of airstrikes by the Syrian AF. Mentions of Russia are connected with accusing Moscow for supporting Assad’s actions.

But if we look closer at the photos and videos we come to conclusion there were no airstrikes but a work of ground based heavy armament. The point is there are no major shell craters which are usually left after airstrike.

Besides a heavy fire in the camp may point to the use of makeshift shells causing heavy fires.

And let us not forget that there are still no believable footage showing Syrian aviation flying over Sarmada area May 5th. One of the existing videos show just a smoke after some strike.

What Russian MoD says

May 6 Russian MoD spokesman Gen. Maj. Igor Konashenkov told that Russian planes or any other aircrafts or aerial devices had not fly in Sarmada area on 4 and 5 of May.

«We analyzed air control data in that region for May 4 and 5 2016. There were no flights of Russian or any other aircrafts over Sramada», — Konashenkov is quoted by Russian news agency TASS.

He underlined that there were no craters peculiar to aircraft munition. He also said there were no other sighns of an airstrike on the photos.

«Judging from the character of devastations on the photos and video the camp could be hit (deliberately or by mistake) by rocket-launching artillery which was being actively used “Jabhat an-Nusra” terrorists in that area», — Konashenkov told.

What the facts say

That is why the most probable reason of refugee camp attack and 30 deaths in Idlib province is shelling of that territory from multiple rocket launching system.

The nest important question is who shelled? The answer to that may not be liked by neither of big egional states participating in the Syrian political process.

The point is Sarmada camp is located just 8 km far from border with Turkey. Dislocation of Turkish artillery was detected January 30 th this year in the area of border crossing point Reinhally-Sarmada. Which was then reported by Russian MoD spokesman Gen. Maj. Igor Konashenkov on 4th of February 2016.

Mention of that border crossing point on 3:05, Turkish artillery dislocation – from 4:28

According to information of General Staff of Syrian Armed Forces Turkish artillery positions are still located there. Moreover shellings of Syran territory by Trkish artllery have been detected in that area more than once (there ar video evidences either).

One should not forget about tender relationships between Erdogan’s regime and “Jabhat an-Nusra” terrorists. They proliferate into Syrian territory freely and being supplied with weaponry by the Turkish

So one of the most probabale versions is Turkish artillery (by themselves or in cooperation with “an-Nusra” fighters) shelled Syian territory once again, this time the strike hit refugee camp.

It is impossible to judge whether it was done deliberately or by mistake but it’s quite obvious that Turkish Western partners blame “bloody Assad” trying to whitewash Erdogan. This time they involved various “human rights organizations” and “indpendent media”

It’s not the least thing to assume that this horrid and deadly provocation could be a deliberate action targeted at "leveling out” the positive effect of Mariinskiy Theatre symphony orchestra concert in liberated Palmira which took place just May 5.
