How "democratic" Britain supports Syrian "moderate terrorists" — investigation (PHOTOS)
What are Britain’s interests in Syria, and why is Britain ready to forget about “democracy ideals” and “independent court” for them?
It is no longer a secret that Western countries interfere into internal politics of many Middle Eastern states for the sake of their own benefits and regime change.
The ultimate task is to place in power some loyal puppet governments and get full access to targeted resources.
First of all we should mention that the agressive external policy like this is more likely for the United States however American allies from Europe do not miss out on joining the “elder brother” and grab a sweet piece of Middle Eastern pie.
“Russian Spring” has already covered the topic of British suppot lent to “moderate opposition” in Syria, but the topic has many levels and appeared not yesterday and not even half a year ago.
That is why today’s article will be focused on another secret liasons between British politics and president Assad’s rivals.
It came out long back in 2012 that Bitish government lends support to the anti-loyalist forces in Syria in Aleppo governorate via intelligence services.
This was published in authoritative British newspaper The Sunday Times.
The article titled “Syria rebels aided by UK intelligence” says that the information received by the British military in Cyprus is being transferred then to Turkish and American secret services and then – to opposition forces in paticular to so called Free Syrian Army command.
Such flow of information which is often a state secret does not contradicts to official London’s interests but even complies with them.
Among other documents transferred to opposition a special place is occupied by satellite images. These data are usually transferred in real time mode.
The journalists with a reference to their own sources among Syrian opposition provide real examples: results of undeclared cooperation between British military ranks and diplomats from one side and radical islamists from another.
Not so long before the information came to journalists and became public British military intelligence officers disclosed an information on Assad’s troops advancing on Aleppo destination in the valley not far from Sarakiba.
As a result of that “moderate opposition” forces made an ambush and destroyed tank column of more than 40 tanks. Dozens of servicemen were killed and injured.
That information leakage saved terrorists from ttal loss of control over that territory.
«The British track messages on Syrian loyalists forces movement and we got information on reinfiocement approaching Aleppo. As a result we successfully attacked governmental troops in Idlib and Sarakib (South-West of Aleppo)», — The Sunday Times quotes one of FSA high ranks.
It’s interesting that he British recognize that FSA and other antigovernmental factions consist mainly of the radicals and extremists even though the British themselves provide full support to the FSA and some other “oppositional” factions.
Then-Lord-mayor of London Boris Johnson reminded to British PM that FSA combatants resemble radical islamists very much from pages of The Telegraph in December 2015.
“We have the estimated 70,000 of the Free Syrian Army (and many other groups and grouplets); but those numbers may be exaggerated, and they may include some jihadists who are not ideologically very different from al-Qaeda” – reminds Boris.
Even The Guardian’s experts were quite sceptical towards Cameron’s idea to cooperate with FSA fighters (which he proposed in the end of 2015 pushing the decision on AF operation launch in Syria at the British Parliament). They were rather convincing telling that the so called Free Syrian Army is not an integral organization and the constituent paramilitary fcations are not interested in fighting ISIS* international terrorists.
But despite all the irresistible proofs of the FSA’s unreliability London is ready to enter into an alliance with anyone if this helps to topple legally elected Syrian authorities.
Moreover the British who are proud of their unbiased and fair justice are ready in fact to compromise it for hold a brief for their doubtful protegees from amonth the Syrian thugs.
For example in June 2015 Guardian’s journalists discovered a strange outcome of a trial over Berlin Gildo – 37 y.o. Swedish citizen blaimed for terrorism and association with “Jabhat an-Nusra”* fighters.
After accused defendant’s attorneys asked MI-6 of official answer whether British government lent support to those terrorists associated with Gildo the court briefly changes its position.
The judge did not reveal MI-6 answer and then closed the criminal procedure due to its “hopelessness”.
The prosecution in its turn told about some “new material” which was said to have emerged.
The extremist’s attorney announced that his client could not be cobdemned by the actions supported by the British authorities.
Henry Blaxland QC, the defence counsel, said: “If it is the case that HM government was actively involved in supporting armed resistance to the Assad regime at a time when the defendant was present in Syria and himself participating in such resistance it would be unconscionable to allow the prosecution to continue.”
It’s obvious that the British as well as their partners from across the ocean are not afraid to get their habds dirty by cooperating with the radical fighters in their blind urge for toppling Assad.
